(ANSA) – ASIAGO, FEBRUARY 15 – Heavy snow has affected the entire Veneto mountains, from the Dolomites to the Vicentine Prealps, bringing back a perfect winter landscape in view of the next white weeks. The snowfall that is affecting the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni (Vicenza) is abundant since the night. In Asiago and Gallio a fresh mantle was measured in the morning between 25 and 30 centimeters; in the ski resorts at high altitude the fresh snow reaches almost half a meter. Traffic slowed down throughout the entire area, with snow plows and salt spreaders working continuously throughout the night. Great joy of tour operators, in particular the installers and the owners of the cross-country trails, because the precipitation guarantees the lengthening of the winter season. Copious snowfall also in the southern Dolomites, 30 cm the thickness of the mantle in Falcade and in other centers of the Agordino, while in the valleys of the northern Dolomites, such as Cortina (5 cm), the precipitation was less intense (ANSA).
