Metro, suburbs, culture, from Pnrr 4.6 billion to ‘new Rome’

Ukraine, Borrell:

(ANSA) – ROME, FEBRUARY 21 – Subways, tramways, revitalization of tourism, energy efficiency, digitization: with the Pnrr works and projects to kick off a new Rome. An ambitious and detailed plan for the capital, presented today by the mayor Roberto Gualtieri during the conference “Italiadomani – Dialogues on the National Recovery and Resilience Plan”. The mayor thus lined up, together with the ministers Elena Bonetti, Enrico Giovannini, Massimo Garavaglia, the projects necessary for the relaunch and for the vision of a renewed city. 4.6 billion will be allocated to the capital, even reaching 8.2 with investments from Lazio. “The resources of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan destined for Rome are flanked by interventions that fall on Rome even if managed by other entities. The menu is rich”, underlined the mayor from the stage. There are therefore many funds foreseen, especially for Roman mobility: “I wrote to the mayor Gualtieri proposing an allocation of 1.6 billion for the completion of Metro C. And a large investment for the Termini-Vatican-Aurelio tramway. a testimony of attention and importance for the capital but in reality an opportunity for development for the whole country “, said the Minister of Infrastructures Enrico Giovannini, on the sidelines of the conference. A news commented positively by the mayor of Rome himself who, however, at the same time also wanted to launch a warning in this regard: “There are 1.6 billion for the subways, to complete line C, but they are not enough, others are needed to lengthen lines A and B. And then on the electric buses, which are just over 400 and must activate at the target of 500. I thank Minister Giovannini for this integration, for having all the Termini-Vatican-Aurelio financed. they are used for trams and also for depots “. (HANDLE).
