(ANSA) – ROME, FEB 21 – The actor Luca Barbareschi was acquitted today by the single judge of Rome with the formula “because the fact exists” as part of the proceeding linked to the investigation into the funds destined for the Eliseo theater. The accusation against the accused was of trafficking in influences.
The judge also dropped the charges against the former state accountant, Andrea Monitra.
“Great joy for the conclusion of the trial relating to the trafficking of influences for Luca Barbareschi – affirms the defender Paola Balducci -. A process that began in April 2017 which has brought many personal sorrows and great difficulties to the company for a story that is in fact non-existent. Justice is done and has been sanctioned with the most exonerating formula of all: the fact does not exist “.
Barbareschi in November 2020 had been acquitted by the gup of the capital from the accusation of embezzlement of theater assets for a total value of 813 thousand euros. (HANDLE).
