(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, FEBRUARY 25 – “The Russian invasion of Ukraine arouses anguish and pain, as well as the strongest condemnation. We embrace with particular affection and in communion of prayer the large Ukrainian community present in our diocese managed by the Chaplaincy of San Demetrio, belonging to the Apostolic Exarchate for the Ukrainian Catholic faithful residing in Italy, headed by Don Vasyl Ersteniuk “. Thus the Archbishop of Cagliari Giuseppe Baturi sent a message to the faithful of the diocese inviting them to pray for peace in Ukraine, next Sunday, February 27, in the Church of Santa Restituta, and on March 2, Ash Wednesday, in the Church of Christ. Re, at 8.30 pm, where a prayer vigil will be held organized by the Cagliari Ecumenical Working Group.
