(ANSA) – PISA, 02 MAR – The assize court of the court of Pisa today sentenced Francesco Lupino to 29 years in prison, the 52-year-old tattoo artist who killed Khrystina Novak, a 29-year-old Ukrainian dancer, in the night between 1 and 2 November 2020, shooting her in the head in Corte Nardi, in Castelfranco di Sotto (Pisa). The prosecution had asked for 30 years for the man, self-confessed to her, who acted to take revenge on her boyfriend who wanted to get out of the drug trafficking circuits in which he was involved together with Lupino.

The accused, in prison for about a year, collaborated with the investigators by finding the victim’s body, hidden in a sack then left in an abandoned farmhouse in the countryside of Orentano (Pisa), a few kilometers from the woman’s home. According to the reconstruction of the prosecutor’s office, Lupino acted under the influence of a mix of alcohol and drugs, shooting Novak from close range fearing that the woman would reveal to the investigators the illicit affairs in which the killer was involved. and for which a few days earlier the victim’s boyfriend had been arrested.
