(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 04 MAR – An arrest in the act of crime and a person reported in a state of freedom. This is the balance sheet of an operation against child pornography conducted by the Postal Police of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Lazio, coordinated by the National Center for Online Child Pornography Contrast (CNCPO) of the Postal and Communications Police Service of Rome and directed by the Public Prosecutors of Trieste and Rome. .
The arrested man – who has obtained the benefit of house arrest – is resident in Rome; the other instead lives in the province of Viterbo. A search of the first person was also carried out at dawn: the agents found the possession of a large quantity of child pornography material; the man had downloaded files of an illicit nature until recently. In addition, 2 smartphones, 1 hard disk, a tablet and a virtual storage space were seized.
The investigations began following a report concerning numerous episodes of child pornography exchange occurring on an instant messaging platform. The agents were therefore able to trace the users who, taking advantage of the high degree of “anonymization” offered by this type of platforms, exchanged numerous videos reproducing the exploitation of girls and acts of sexual violence.
The investigations are coordinated by the prosecutor of Trieste Matteo Tripani.
