(ANSA) – TROIA, 08 MAR – The bus that departed yesterday from Troia, in the Foggia region, arrived in Medyka, Poland, with a load of basic necessities for Ukrainian refugees. The bus will depart within the day bringing about fifty women and children fleeing the war to the Apulian town.
“Everything is quite orderly – explains to ANSA Urbano di Pierro, city councilor of Troia (Foggia), the Polish police are doing an excellent job, but above all they show a lot of humanity. The flow of people is made up of women and children, there are some adolescents and especially girls “.
The Foggia volunteers brought food, medicines and blankets to Medyka. The return to Troy is scheduled for late afternoon tomorrow, March 9th. In Troia the refugees will be hosted in the Ostello del Cammino, former convent of San Domenico. (HANDLE).
