March 8: a thousand students at the Milan demonstration

(ANSA) – MILAN, 08 MAR – Thousands of students gathered today in Largo Cairoli, in Milan, for the traditional demonstration on 8 March. In addition to the classic values of feminism and transfeminism, the march organized by the Coordination of student collectives, given the Russian aggression in Ukraine, has also assumed a pacifist significance this year.

At the beginning of the demonstration, a group of students climbed onto a tram shelter and lit some rainbow-colored smoke bombs as a symbol of peace. Several banners were displayed, including those with the phrases “stop war stop the war ‘and” feminist antiwar resistance “.

After reaching Piazzale Cadorna, shouting pacifist slogans, the participants in the march stopped for a few minutes in front of a UniCredit counter, accusing the institute of financing the war. The event will end at the Giardini della Guastalla, after passing through Largo Augusto.
