(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, 10 MAR – “After the accident my little children got scared and started crying, I ran home to calm them down”. This is how a 27-year-old girl was justified who two days ago, in San Matteo della Decima in the Bolognese area, had gone away after having hit a woman on a bicycle with her car. The 49-year-old female cyclist ended up in hospital in serious condition from a series of multiple fractures, but she is not life threatening. After the initial removal from the scene of the accident, without giving help or giving the alarm, the following day the 27-year-old presented herself to the carabinieri. She apologized, explaining that she was frightened by the agitation of her children who were with her in the car, and asked to be kept informed of the condition of the woman she hit. She was charged with wrongful death, road injury and driver flight. Her driving license was also withdrawn. (HANDLE).
