President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Polish Sejm. He stressed that Ukraine and Poland have now become truly fraternal peoples. The head of the country thanked our neighbors for accepting more than 1.5 million of our refugees, although Ukraine did not even ask for this

This is reported by “Today”.

What Zelensky said – the main theses:

  • In 2019, when Zelensky became president, then I felt a coolness in relations between the two countries, but over time this passed.“The coolness disappeared, we understood each other. Like a Ukrainian and a Pole – like Europeans”.
  • From the first day of the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine Zelensky knew that it was Poland that would lend its shoulder. He thanked Poland for accepting more than 1.5 million Ukrainian refugees, although Ukraine did not even ask for this.
  • The President recalled the words of former Polish President Lech Kaczynski: “We know very well: today Georgia, tomorrow Ukraine, the day after tomorrow the Baltic countries, and then, perhaps, the time will come for my country – Poland.” Now Ukraine is doing everything to ensure that this terrible time never comes for other countries.
  • Ukraine remembers the disaster near Smolensk in 2010 and all the facts of the investigation into the circumstances of this catastrophe: “We feel what this means for you. And what does the silence of those who also know everything, but … But still look at Russia, mean for you.”
  • “Brothers and sisters Poles! I feel that we have already formed a very strong alliance. Let it be informal. But an alliance that grew out of reality. Not from words on paper.
  • “If God willing and we win this war, we will share the victory with our brothers and sisters. This is our greatness. And your greatness. This is a fight for our freedom and yours. This is the common history of great nations!”

Situation in Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an address to the Ukrainians on March 11, said that the Ukrainians have been fighting the invaders for the 16th day already – four times longer than the enemy planned for his invasion.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine received a list of servicemen of the 727th Separate Marine Battalion (military unit 20264) from Astrakhan, Russian Federation, who committed war crimes against the civilian population of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Odessa is preparing for a possible encirclement by Russian troops. The goals of the invaders of the criminal country were announced at a briefing by the mayor of Odessa, Gennady Trukhanov, who is preparing Odessa for a possible negative scenario.
