(ANSA) – NUORO, MAR 17 – Accused of violation of privacy and illicit dissemination of sexually explicit images, in the context of a revenge porn case against a former friend of hers, a 45-year-old from a Nuorese town was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison.
The sentence was issued today by the Gup of the Nuoro court, Giacomo Ferrando, at the end of the process with an abbreviated procedure. A lower sentence than that requested by Prosecutor Riccardo Belfiori, who had asked for two years and four months for the accused.
The defenders of the woman, who had appeared as a civil party, had joined the requests of the magistrate, while the defender of the accused, the lawyer Gianfranco Careddu had asked for her acquittal. “In 90 days we will read the reasons for the sentence and decide whether to appeal,” the lawyer said as he left the courtroom.
The facts date back to the period between the summer of 2018 and that of 2019 when the two were dating, but then the relationship would have cracked. The man was accused of having stolen from the victim those “pushed” images that portrayed her, and without his consent of having published them or sold them to third parties. All this, according to the prosecution, after the defendant took advantage of the cell phone forgotten by the woman in her car. Those hard images and videos that had to remain private for the woman also ended up on the Telegram group “Amateur porn only”.
The defendant’s defender called the investigation into the case “incomplete”, recalling that when the woman filed a complaint she refused to send the hard photos and videos from her mobile phone to that of the accused, and it was also revealed that those images were are being sent to another device. A thesis that the judge did not believe, however, condemning the 45-year-old. (HANDLE).
