(ANSA) – PALERMO, 20 MAR – The humanitarian bus that will bring a load of medicines and basic necessities to Poland has left Montevago (Agrigento) today and will return to Sicily with about forty Ukrainian refugees on board.

The “A heart for Ukraine” initiative is promoted by the municipality of Montevago in collaboration with the voluntary association “A Cuore Aperto”. Medicines and products for children will be delivered in Lublin to a doctor at the Sumy hospital, among the Ukrainian cities under siege, where only yesterday, with the opening of the humanitarian corridors, it was possible for the humanitarian agencies to get the first aid. Women, children and the elderly will find hospitality in the Belicino center where some citizens, responding to the appeal of the mayor Margherita La Rocca Ruvolo, have made some houses available.
