Dl Ukraine bis: half a billion for hospitality and healthcare

(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 22 – The Ukraine bis decree published in the Official Gazette allocates over half a billion dollars for the reception and health care of Ukrainian refugees arriving in Italy.

In detail, 348 million, covered by the Fund for national emergencies and managed by the Civil Protection through ordinances not yet published, are destined for 2022 for reception, which follows a double track: the Autonomous Accommodation Contribution (Cas) which covers expenses of rent for refugees and concerns up to 60 thousand people for a maximum duration of 90 days (then it will be refinanced); and widespread reception, which concerns up to 15 thousand people hosted through the Third sector, religious institutes and families. The Ministry of the Interior will receive additional resources for 7,533,750 euros in 2022 aimed at “activating, renting and managing the centers reception “.

A further allocation of 152 million for 2022 is earmarked for the regions and autonomous provinces to cover a lump-sum contribution – yet to be quantified – for access to the services of the National Health Service, for a maximum of 100 thousand refugees. (HANDLE).
