Disabled Ukrainian minor moves away from family, found

(ANSA) – SIDERNO, MARCH 25 – He was lost by involuntarily moving away from his family, losing his bearings but was tracked down by the agents of the Siderno Ps Commissariat following a report reached 113.

Misadventure with a happy ending for a minor of Ukrainian nationality, suffering from Down syndrome, who arrived a few days ago, together with family members fleeing the war, in the town of Reggio.

The child, after being found, was immediately accompanied to the premises of the police station where he received reassurance, thanks also to the help of a Ukrainian interpreter and the attention of a police officer. In a short time, the police officers in control of the territory noticed two women of foreign nationality, in an evident state of apprehension, sensing that they could in some way be connected to the minor aid shortly before. After having approached them, they learned that they were the mother and sister of the minor and that the child had involuntarily moved away from his family.

The baby was then entrusted to the relatives and the mother thanked the agents for what they did. (HANDLE).
