(ANSA) – TREVISO, MARCH 26 – The 84-year-old elderly man who was violently beaten last night in Pieve di Soligo (Treviso) died in hospital during an attempted home robbery by a young Moroccan, who was then stopped by the carabinieri. The man, Adriano Armellin, tied up and beaten by the criminal, had arrived in the hospital in very serious condition. This morning an aggravation of clinical conditions caused his death. The robber is in turn hospitalized, guarded in hospital, guarded, because during the escape from the house of the eighty-year-old he had fallen out of a window, fracturing his limb. It was Armellin’s neighbors who stopped the criminal, then handing him over to the carabinieri. The elderly man was also reportedly hit with bottle shots to the head, suffering serious injuries.
