Earthquakes: night shook in Mugello, stronger than magnitude 2.3

(ANSA) – FLORENCE, 27 MAR – Night of seismic tremors in Alto Mugello. This was announced by the Civil Protection Room of the Metropolitan City of Florence. During the evening of Saturday 26 March and on the night of Sunday 27 March, the Ingv-National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology recorded some earthquakes with their epicenter in the municipality of Palazzuolo sul Senio (Florence). The first occurred at 19.49, of magnitude 2.1, at a depth of 10 km; the second at 21.58, of magnitude 2.3, at a depth of 4 km; the third at 1:41, of magnitude 2.1, at a depth of 9 km; a fourth at 5.23, of magnitude 2, 10 km deep; a fifth at 6.19, of magnitude 2, at 9 km.

In recent days, a tremor had been recorded in the nearby town of San Godenzo. (HANDLE).
