(ANSA) – TURIN, MARCH 28 – Unavailable since last December, the financial police arrested a fugitive of Calabrian origins in the countryside of Caulonia (Reggio Calabria), but with economic and entrepreneurial interests rooted in the Turin area.
The man was wanted in the investigation of the Turin prosecutor ‘Cavallo di Troia’, which had allowed the yellow flames to identify in Carmagnola (Turin) three companies in the construction sector deemed to be at the service of the ‘ndrina Bonavoto and to execute eight precautionary measures and the seizure of 2.5 million euros.
The fugitive is seriously suspected of complicity with mafia-type criminal association and economic and tax crimes. With the other eight suspects he would have managed the three companies, also through the use of nominees, thanks to the support provided by the gang capable of guaranteeing important orders for the construction of works as well as “protection” in case of difficulty.
The operation also made it possible to outline a modus operandi characterized by continuous and systematic conduct characterized by the depletion of corporate assets, leaving on the one hand the companies in a situation of complete deprivation of resources, also intended for the payment of salaries and employee contributions and on the other hand, allocating part of the profits from crimes perpetrated to organized crime.
