(ANSA) – LUCCA, MARCH 30 – Employees of private health facilities in the province of Lucca, affiliated with the ASL, would have induced the relatives of the deceased to choose certain funeral homes, all based in Versilia. This is what was hypothesized in an investigation by the Lucca prosecutor’s office, which led to the execution of four precautionary measures by the mobile team.
The investigating judge ordered the suspension from the exercise of any public service or function for a haematologist in service at a private company and for a necroforo employee of an ASL structure, both accused of abuse of office and violation of the duty of impartiality, confidentiality and fairness. Subjected to the obligation of presentation to the pg the co-owner and a collaborator of a funeral home, accused of having bribed the haematologist in order to obtain information for obtaining a funeral service.
In the investigation, which started from a complaint presented to the prosecutor in Lucca, the crime of abusive exercise of the health profession is also hypothesized. In the course of the investigations, six searches were also carried out which made it possible to seize computer equipment, medicines and other health devices whose provenance is being investigated.
