(ANSA) – VARESE, 02 APR – Messages of love to remember Alessio and Giada Rossin, 7 and 13 years old, killed by their father a week ago, were read at the opening of their funeral celebrations, this morning in Mesenzana ( Varese), where hundreds of people crowded the church square.

Great silence as the two white bars pass, submerged in yellow flowers, followed by the mother of the children, Luana, and her family. “Alessio pedaled very fast”, read an aunt of the little victims talking about her nephew’s passion for cycling, “Giada was a princess and she had a persevering character, a teenager full of splendor”. She then added: “If your memory is in all of us, you will always be here, one step away from the heart”.

Even the mayor Alberto Rossi, who proclaimed the city mourning, wanted to show closeness to the children’s family: “We tell Luana that she is not alone and that her children will always remain indelibly in our hearts”. The parish priest Don Michele Ravizza reserved his homily for the pain and effort of finding an explanation. “How will we go on? Death is not the last word in Giada and Alessio’s life and in our life” but it is “a cross that blooms, we are sure that the future, like spring, will bloom again”.
