(ANSA) – PADRU, 02 APR – To go unnoticed in a possible check, he had hidden 11 kg of marijuana in the boxes of carasau bread. A 52-year-old from Burgos, in the Sassari area, was arrested yesterday by the carabinieri of the Padru station for detention for the purpose of drug dealing.
The man, in front of a police checkpoint on the Padru ring road, turned back in his car, attracting the attention of the soldiers who set out in pursuit, which ended in a dead end street taken by the 52-year-old runaway. Before being reached, the man tried in vain to get rid of one of the boxes with marijuana, throwing it into the bushes. The police checking the car found another box in the trunk, with the words “Pane carasau”, and inside five vacuum bags with marijuana buds. Retrieved the other box, they found more marijuana inside for a total of 11 kg. The drug was seized and the 52-year-old was arrested and taken to the Bancali prison. (HANDLE).
