(ANSA) – ACATE, 03 APR – A pony was dragged for about three kilometers by a car and then abandoned on the side of the road near Acate, in the Ragusa area. The animal was found this morning around 7 by some people who work in a company in the area, who alerted the managers of OIPA and the carabinieri.
The animal, a ten-year-old female, was rescued by ASP vets, but was now in agony and was euthanized. The video surveillance cameras in the area could be useful for investigations. “In all my life I have never seen such harsh and shocking images – said Riccardo Zingaro, provincial head of Oipa – An enormous cruelty, a trail of blood remained on the asphalt”. The owner of the pony has not yet been found and it is not excluded that the animal was stolen. (HANDLE).
