During his long testimony Madè answered the questions of the prosecutors, but he will have to return to the courtroom on April 12 to also answer those of the defense and his own lawyer of the plaintiff. At the beginning of her testimony, judge Carlo Busato asked her if she wanted a booth to separate her from her Benno, sitting a few meters away from her. The young woman, who works as a doctor in Munich, however, explained that it was not necessary and then answered, calmly and in great detail, to all the questions of the deputy prosecutors. In particular, she explained that her father Peter was a very meek person, who avoided quarrels, to the point that some relatives had nicknamed him “the meek biologist”. A description that contrasts with the one provided by Benno in her confession, in which she claims that it was her father Peter who triggered an argument with Benno, who reacted by killing him.
During the hearing, the recordings of the phone calls between Madè and Benno were made to hear before the latter’s confession: she recorded the phone calls precisely because she suspected him.
