(ANSA) – MODENA, 07 APR – He was allegedly killed by hitting him several times in the head with a blunt instrument in a story that is part of the world of drug dealing. These are the conclusions that in Modena this morning led the Prosecutor to an order of precautionary measures, applied by the carabinieri, against five men: three in prison, one under house arrest and for another the ban on staying in the province of Modena.

The investigations concern the death of Nicu Hozu, 34-year-old of Romanian origin, who died at the Policlinico di Modena one month after being found, on the morning of 25 August last year, lifeless near the former Fazenda restaurant, precisely in the Emilian city, in the street Bellaria. The man had severe skull fractures. At first the soldiers of the Arma had hypothesized it could be a road accident, but then the investigations led to the world of drug dealing.

A first man was detained on 30 September. The offenses against the recipients of the precautionary measures refer in various ways to voluntary homicide in competition, the sale of drugs, possession and manufacture of false identification documents, extortion, material falsity. During a home search of one of those arrested, 16 grams of cocaine were seized.

Evidence of guilt for the crime of extortion was collected against one of the suspects in prison: he would have illegally managed the lease of some apartments, the rent of which, without a regular contract, would have been demanded even under threat. (HANDLE).
