(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 08 – The provisional payments ordered by the single judge of Rome in the sentence yesterday condemning eight carabinieri for the misdirection implemented after the death of Stefano Cucchi amount to about 150 thousand euros. In particular, the court sentenced General Alessandro Casarsa, who was inflicted 5 years, and Francesco Cavallo and Luciano Soligo to pay 40 thousand euros in favor of the Cucchi family. Furthermore, the three, together with Massimiliano Colombo Labriola, “jointly and severally with the responsible civil ministry of Defense” were sentenced to pay a provisional sum of four thousand euros in total for the two agents of the penitentiary, civil parties in the proceedings, for Nicola Minichini and Antonio Domenici. In favor of the relatives of the surveyor who died in 2009, the other two defendants Tiziano Testarmata and Lorenzo Sabatino will have to pay 40 thousand euros. The judge also sentenced the two carabinieri to pay a total of 15,000 euros for prison police officers, again as a provisional. Finally, De Cianni was sentenced to pay 10,000 euros in favor of Riccardo Casamassima (civil party in the trial), 28,000 euros to the Cucchi family and 15,000 euros for prison police officers.
