Bad weather: Civil protection, winds up to gale in the Center North

(ANSA) – ROME, APRIL 08 – A new wave of bad weather is coming, with winds in the Center North and possible storm surges on the coasts. This was communicated by the Civil Protection, which issued – in agreement with the regions involved – a warning of adverse weather conditions.

“A cavity of Atlantic origin – explains a note – moves towards the east, approaching, over the next few hours, the northern sectors of our peninsula. The associated frontal system will cross the country very quickly tomorrow, bringing isolated rainfall and a marked reinforcement of ventilation over most of the central-northern regions “.

On the basis of the available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection in agreement with the regions involved – which are responsible for activating the civil protection systems in the territories concerned – has issued a warning of adverse weather conditions, which integrates and extends the previous one. The weather phenomena, impacting on the various areas of the country, could determine hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities which are reported, in a national summary, in the national criticality and alert bulletin which can be consulted on the Department’s website (www.protezionecivile.gov.it).

From today afternoon, Friday 8 April, the notice foresees the persistence of strong to gale force winds from the western quadrants on Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany, extending to Marche, Umbria and, from tomorrow morning, Saturday 9, to Lazio, especially coastal and Apennine sectors, in subsequent rotation from the northern quadrants starting from Emilia-Romagna.

Also from the early hours of tomorrow, strong to stormy winds are expected from the northern quadrants on Piedmont, Lombardy and Veneto. (HANDLE).
