(ANSA) – SALERNO, APRIL 09 – A rescue operation for an injured person on Mount Avvocata, in the Sanctuary area, in the municipality of Maiori (Salerno) ended yesterday evening; the activity involved the operators of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue of Campania who were alerted in the afternoon.

Two young people said they were in trouble as one of the two was injured. The hikers found shelter in a cottage where they were reached by the technicians of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue of Campania around 9 pm. The injured person, who was alert and cooperative, was ‘stabilized’ and then began the descent towards Maiori, escorted and assisted by Cnsas technicians, without the need for a stretcher. Once in the valley, in the locality of San Vito, the teams accompanying the injured were reached by the 118 ambulance and the young man was entrusted to the care of the health workers. (HANDLE).
