Cross comes off the Duomo of Monza, slightly injured child

Garavaglia:

(ANSA) – MILAN, APRIL 10 – It probably broke off due to the strong wind and ended up in the churchyard: a metal cross on the rose window of the Duomo of Monza fell yesterday afternoon and hit a child in the arm 5 years which was then taken as a precaution in green code to the San Gerardo hospital. This is what we read in Il Giorno.

It could have ended much worse than what happened yesterday in Piazza Duomo in Monza around 5.30 pm since there were many people as always on Saturday afternoon in the churchyard. Fortunately, the cross of 1.30 by 75 centimeters only slightly hit the 5-year-old boy who was playing with his scooter. Rescued by the 118 staff, the child was then taken to hospital, while the local police and fire brigade cordoned off the area to check that there were no other failures. (HANDLE).
