(ANSA) – AOSTA, 11 APR – The Valle d’Aosta Region had already collected over eight million euros from the 18 current and former regional councilors, who had been condemned by the Court of Auditors to compensate a tax damage of 16 million for having approved a 60 million euro recapitalization of the Casino of Saint-Vincent, a fully publicly owned company. The question now arises of restitution, after the Council’s cancellation of sentence 350/2021 of the third central judicial section of appeal of the Court of Auditors.
“If the Council annulled the sentence – Giuseppe De Rosa, the regional prosecutor of the Court of Auditors for Valle d’Aosta, told ANSA in recent days, – there would be primarily a problem for the Region regarding the return of the money that he has already collected. He has already received over eight million euros, I am sure that there are budget coverage where the 350/2021 sentence should be annulled “. (HANDLE).
