(ANSA) – NAPLES, APRIL 12 – The carabinieri arrested in Sant ‘Antonio Abate (Naples) the presumed responsible for the murder of Domenico Martone, 33, whose body was found charred and still engulfed in flames on 30 March last in the countryside of Lettere (Naples). This is the 36-year-old older brother, suspected of murder aggravated by premeditation for abject reasons.
The identity of the body had been quickly ascertained by the military, who had found the victim’s car with his green pass inside a few tens of meters from the body. Thanks to the images of the video surveillance cameras, the carabinieri of the Company of Castellammare di Stabia arrived at the 36-year-old who allegedly attacked and stunned his brother, before setting him on fire, to collect a life insurance policy that he himself, just over a year ago, had induced Domenico Martone to stipulate.
The 36 year old was transferred to the Poggioreale prison in Naples. According to the investigators, there was a real danger of escape: the man, who is a clean seafarer, is having an affair with a woman residing abroad. (HANDLE).
