(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, APRIL 12 – After bringing over 500 refugees to Italy, Reta Anas Soccorso Sardegna is preparing to try to take away from a small suburb of Cherson, in the south-east of Ukraine, in collaboration with the Pks association (Pallister-Killian syndrome patients), a woman with a non-walking child who were stuck on the 9th floor of a building. Through on-site coordination, this morning at 6 am, the Ukrainian volunteers reached the two and set off for Romania. From here they will be taken over by the Sardinian mission that will take them to safety in Italy.

“We only know that they have been reached by the volunteers but in that area telephone communications are intermittent and therefore we will know something more in the next few hours – Claudio Cugusi, the national president of the Anas Soccorso Network civil protection, explains to ANSA – It is the first time that we are facing such a delicate issue that it was handled in collaboration with our representatives in Lviv “.

In the meantime, a bus disembarked this morning in Olbia with about fifty refugees from Donbass who were reported by Rete Anas to the “Accademia del Soccorso” association which organized the trip to the Polish border. Among them also four women from Mariupol who should have been hosted in Oliena (Nuoro), but who then chose to go to a large city on the island. (HANDLE).
