Tourism: there is a boom in German tourists in South Tyrol

(ANSA) – BOLZANO, APRIL 13 – German tourists are literally storming South Tyrol for the Easter holidays. Especially in Bolzano and Merano, tourists are crowding the streets of the center.

“In the cities of Bolzano and Merano, as in the Oltradige and the Lower Isarco Valley, the occupancy of the rooms is very good”, confirms the president of the South Tyrolean hoteliers Manfred Pinzger at ANSA. The situation is different in the mountains, where the winter season has just ended, or is about to end.

“Due to the pandemic for two consecutive years we have been stopped at Easter, so it is very nice to see that confidence and the desire to travel are returning”, adds Pinzger.

The time for the Easter holidays is also springtime, with temperatures reaching 20 degrees in the valley. A clear change of course compared to the past days marked by a fault of the tail of the winter that is now definitively gone. (HANDLE).
