Does not deliver 3,000 letters, reported post office worker

(ANSA) – SPOLETO (PERUGIA), APRIL 13 – About 3,000 letters, between ordinary and registered mail, not delivered, were seized from a post office worker who was denounced on the loose by the Spoleto carabinieri (violation, abduction and suppression of correspondence for the alleged crimes). Part of her was recovered from her car and the rest from the woman’s home.

The investigations were initiated following a report by the Italian Post Office after the staff became suspicious of the behavior of the letterbox.

The company then teamed up with investigators.

The woman was then stopped by the military in her car to check the registration documents.

Inside – investigators report -, on the back seat, four rigid supermarket envelopes were found full of letters and various correspondence. Further checks were then carried out which led to finding the other undelivered and hidden letters also at his home.

The correspondence was recovered, analyzed and entrusted to the director of the Poste Italiane branch for delivery to the recipients.

Investigations are underway on the reasons why the employee did not deliver the correspondence. The position of the woman would still be examined by the same post office. (HANDLE).
