Alberto Genovese sells ‘Terrazza Sentimento’

(ANSA) – MILAN, APRIL 14 – Alberto Genovese, the web entrepreneur who ended up in prison on November 6, 2020 and under house arrest since last July, has put up for sale his penthouse overlooking the Milan Cathedral, the now infamous Terrace Sentiment, where on 10 October 2 years ago he allegedly raped, after making her unconscious with a mix of cocaine and ketamine, an 18-year-old girl. He would have done the same with another 23-year-old guest in a luxury villa in Ibiza the previous July.

Il Corriere della Sera writes it today, explaining that Genovese would have paid the two hundred million euros collected by selling the shares of Prima Assicurazioni into a trust, with no more guarantee that, if convicted, he can compensate the damages he is accused of having caused to the girl who had him arrested. The lawyer of the 18-year-old model has in fact asked for the attachment of over a million and a half on the accounts of the former ‘wizard’ of digital start-ups, who thus had to put his super-penthouse with infinity pool up for sale.

In the hearing of April 5, Genovese proposed compensation for a total of about 155 thousand euros to the two victims.

Both, through their lawyers, rejected the proposals, choosing to remain civil parties for any damages in the trial. In particular, Genovese had offered 130 thousand euros to the young woman at the age of 18, assisted by the lawyer Luigi Liguori and that she has already had to face, from what has been learned, costs of almost 25 thousand euros just for medical treatment. Another offer of 25 thousand euros, however, came to the 23-year-old girl, but even in this case she was rejected. (HANDLE).
