(ANSA) – MONZA, APRIL 15 – Nine people were arrested by the Carabinieri on charges of criminal association aimed at theft, for carrying out 11 ‘assaults’ on warehouses belonging to fashion brands, also using paramilitary techniques. The arrests, carried out by the carabinieri of the provincial command of Monza, took place at dawn in Brianza and in the provinces of Milan, Lecco, Bergamo and Piacenza, in execution of a precautionary custody order in prison issued by the investigating judge of Monza. The gang, based in Paderno Dugnano (Milan), acted according to the same modus operandi, that is, stealing cars to use them as a battering ram and burning tires along the access roads to companies to prevent the arrival of the police forces, and would have scored in total, according to the accusations, 11 thefts for a total of 1 million euros of stolen goods, clothing and accessories of the most famous brands.
The investigation began in November 2021 after a theft of over 350 thousand euros from the MA.BI company in San Daniele del Friuli (Udine), a company that takes care of the production “quality control” phase on behalf of a well-known high fashion brand. . (HANDLE).
