(ANSA) – POZZUOLI, APRIL 15 – An earthquake due to bradyseism in the Phlegraean area was recorded this morning in Pozzuoli. The event at 5.11 of magnitude 1.8 on the Richter scale at a depth of approximately 2,800 meters was preceded by a loud roar and had as its epicenter the area south of the Cigliano crater. The earthquake was felt by the population, especially from high Pozzuoli. The last event greater than magnitude 1 was recorded a week ago, with its epicenter at sea.
The main event was followed by a series of minor shocks on the Solfatara – Agnano Pisciarelli axis.
The local Civil Protection and the Municipal Police have been alerted for checks on the territory. No damage is reported at the moment. (HANDLE).
