“Thanks for the edit.” Razumkov subtly trolled the “servants of the people” due to deoligarchization

Against the background of the confrontation with the head of parliament before the adoption of the law on oligarchs, the ridiculous mistake of the servants of the people looks ridiculous

After the adoption of the law on oligarchs, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov thanked the people’s deputies for supporting his amendment, which runs counter to the position of the “servants of the people” and the president of Ukraine.

He wrote about this on Facebook.

This is an amendment that assumes that the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPK) will determine people as oligarchs. Although initially it was assumed that this should be dealt with by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

“Thanks both to the committee and to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which supported my amendment with my colleagues at number 398. Now NAPK, upon the request of a special commission, will add the person to the register of oligarchs. Deoligarchization continues.”– he wrote.

Despite Razumkov’s schadenfreude, his revision will probably not live long. As we already wrote, the law on oligarchs will be re-voted due to the fact that the “servants of the people” took into account both Razumkov’s amendment and the original version (about the NSDC). At the moment, there are two norms in the law: the oligarch is determined by both the NSDC and the NAPK.

The law on oligarchs was adopted with a “fight”

  • Ever since the morning of September 23, the heads of the factions have been deliberating on how the law will be passed. Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko proposed a compromise option so that each faction leader speaks for 10 minutes, and then each author of the amendments – for three minutes. The MPs even agreed to extend the working day until they consider the bill.
  • The first vice-speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk (who replaced Razumkov) was also in favor of the “abbreviation”, and the second vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Elena Kondratyuk and other parliamentary factions advocated a full consideration of the amendments. Because of this, they even tried to remove Stefanchuk from the meeting, but this idea failed (there were no votes). It even got to hysterics because of Lukashenka, with whom they compared Stefanchuk.
  • But Servant of the People decided not to delay the process, since there are several hundred amendments and the vote on them could take several days. As a result, instead of considering each amendment, the Rada simply went through the points of the law that were proposed for the second reading.

NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov, who vehemently supports deoligarchization, called the adoption of the law the most important day in the modern history of Ukraine.
