The Verkhovna Rada will have to re-vote the bill No. 5599 on oligarchs, which was adopted in the second reading, due to the fact that unnecessary amendments were adopted – now there are different editions in the law on recognizing a person as an oligarch.

This was announced in Telegram by the head of the “Voice” faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security recommended to the parliament leadership to correct the inconsistency in the adopted law by re-voting the fifth article (on the mechanism for defining a person as an oligarch).

“Spanish shame or“ but we said. ”The law about oligarchs No. 5599 will be re-voted. So it was necessary to hurry so much and drive through the lawlessness yesterday, so that today we can start frantically correcting it. They said that there are legal errors. Now we need one more thing vote in the Rada to correct a legal conflict. Otherwise they will not sign. What is the problem? We simultaneously took into account three (396, 398, 406) amendments, which contradict each other. Accordingly, they now want to re-vote Article 5 of the law “, – wrote Zheleznyak.

In turn, the People’s Deputy from “European Solidarity” Aleksey Goncharenko confirmed that the law would have to be re-voted, since the bill would not be able to work in this form. He clarified what exactly the problem is.

“Servants” introduced two mutually exclusive norms into the bill on oligarchs: one says that the NSDC recognizes the oligarch, as Zelensky planned, and the other that NAPK (Razumkov’s edit) “, – the people’s deputy wrote in Telegram.

The law on oligarchs was adopted with a “fight”

  • Ever since the morning of September 23, the heads of the factions have been deliberating on how the law will be passed. The leader of Batkivshchyna Yulia Tymoshenko proposed a compromise option, so that each leader of the factions speaks for 10 minutes, and then each author of the amendments for three minutes. The MPs even agreed to extend the working day until they consider the bill.
  • The first vice-speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk (who replaced Razumkov) was also in favor of the “abbreviation”, and the second vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Elena Kondratyuk and other parliamentary factions advocated a full consideration of the amendments. Because of this, they even tried to remove Stefanchuk from the meeting, but this idea failed (there were no votes). It even got to hysterics because of Lukashenka, with whom they compared Stefanchuk.
  • But Servant of the People decided not to delay the process, since there are several hundred amendments and the vote on them could take several days. As a result, instead of considering each amendment, the Rada simply went through the points of the law that were proposed for the second reading.

NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov, who vehemently supports deoligarchization, called the adoption of the law the most important day in the modern history of Ukraine.
