(ANSA) – BARI, APRIL 20 – Prince Albert II of Monaco has arrived in Terlizzi, in the Bari area, the first stop on his tour in Puglia and Basilicata where he will visit six different cities. After Terlizzi he will be in Trani, then tomorrow in Canosa, Spinazzola and Matera and on Friday in Alberobello. The arrival of the prince in Terlizzi was greeted with the unveiling of the plaque “Terlizzi historical site Grimaldi” at the entrance to the city. Then the prince will visit the church of Santa Maria la Nova where there is the tomb of one of his ancestors who lived in 1546. Afterwards, in Piazza Cavour, there will be the official greeting of the mayor Ninni Gemmato and the performance of the national anthems. In Corso Umberto a stone inscription will be discovered in memory of the Lordship of the Grimaldi of Monaco and in the Cathedral of Terlizzi there will be a meeting with the bishop Monsignor Domenico Cornacchia.
The final event is scheduled in the Pinacoteca Michele de Napoli, where the precious silver cross donated to the Chapter of the Collegiate of Terlizzi by Onorato Grimaldi who was feudal lord and archpriest of Terlizzi will be exhibited. (HANDLE).
