(ANSA) – BOLZANO, APRIL 21 – “Sternenkinder – Bimbi stella” is the name of the project of the Christian association of South Tyrolean families KFS to support families who have lost a child before, during and shortly after birth. The online platform was presented in the presence of the provincial councilor Philipp Achammer and his wife Nicole Uibo, who experienced this tragedy three years ago. In South Tyrol, according to Astat, 513 spontaneous abortions were recorded in 2020. “It is important to overcome the taboo that still exists too often in this regard. It is equally important to provide families with all the useful information,” said Uibo.
“Many families have to face a bereavement of this type, but each story is different and in some cases the processing takes many years. For this reason it is important to summarize on a single platform all the information and all the help available in South Tyrol” Achammer added. “The woman in these cases must carry the greatest burden, but the man is also called to open up and undertake the journey as a couple”, said the commissioner. The KFS has also launched the sewing course “Angel clothes for star children”. From old wedding dresses, little dresses are born which are then donated to hospitals. (HANDLE).
