Woman killed in Luxembourg: funeral parlor opened in Molise

(ANSA) – PETACCIATO, APRIL 23 – The body of Sonia Di Pinto, the 46-year-old woman killed on Easter Day in Luxembourg during a robbery that ended badly, arrived in Petacciato during the night: the funeral home, open to the public at 9 am , was set up in the gymnasium of the local middle school.

The volunteers of the Civil Protection of which Sonia Di Pinto was part of until a few years ago, before leaving for Luxembourg, watched over the body in the night until the opening of the restaurant.

Present was the woman’s family, the mother who was also a volunteer in the village in support of the disabled and the two brothers who live in other regions of Italy.

The entire community of Petacciato was deeply moved, and since the opening of the funeral home they went to the gymnasium to say goodbye to Sonia.

The family members and the woman’s companion, Sauro Diogenici, devastated by pain, today in Petacciato for the funeral rite that will be celebrated by the bishop of the Diocese of Termoli-Larino at 4 pm, in the churchyard of the church of San Rocco in the village. “It is an immense pain for everyone” the comment of the mayor Roberto Di Pardo.
