Pnrr: Bianchi, another 370 million to design schools

(ANSA) – MILAN, 02 MAY – A further 370 million will be used to redesign the architecture, spaces and furnishings of the school buildings envisaged by the Pnrr. “After weeks of work, I can announce that we have increased the resources available for the tender, from the initial 800 million expected to approximately 1.17 billion”, explained the Minister of Education, Patrizio Bianchi, on the occasion of the presentation of the project guidelines. ‘Future. Designing, building and living in the school ‘at the Milan Triennale.

The lines, articulated in a decalogue, are the result of the work of some architects, who met together with pedagogues and experts of the school, within a working group wanted and set up by the ministry. “An extraordinary job – commented Minister Bianchi – to put into practice what many experiments have already done: a sustainable, open school, integrated into the territory that serves as a point of reference also in the afternoon”.

The 195 institutions involved in the call will have to respond to ten characteristics of the ‘school of the future’: quality, low consumption, sustainability, hospitality, open spaces and oriented towards co-design, flexibility, bodily involvement, functional equipment, technologies and connectivity. Among the professionals who drafted the document, the architects Stefano Boeri, Cino Zucchi, Luisa Ingaramo, and the director of the Giovanni Agnelli foundation, Andrea Gavosto.

Within this week the areas where the new schools foreseen by the announcement will be built will be published, which will be inspired by the guidelines, and by the end of the month the design competition will start. (HANDLE).
