The ‘Bari San Nicola air show’ is back with the Frecce Tricolori

(ANSA) – BARI, 02 MAY – The evolutions of the ‘Frecce Tricolori’, the aerobatic team of the Air Force, return to the skies of Puglia: two years after the stop imposed by the pandemic, they will fly again on the Bari seafront on 8 May at 4 pm on the occasion of the celebrations for San Nicola, of which she was designated “ambassador” in 1987 by the community of Dominican friars of the pontifical Basilica. Commander Stefano Vit will direct the maneuvers of the ‘Bari San Nicola Air Show’. The day before, on 7 May, the aerobatic team will perform in the province of Bari, on the Giovinazzo and Molfetta seafront.

The ‘Bari San Nicola Air Show’ is organized by the Aeroclub of Bari, the Municipality of Bari and by the Air Force, is highlighted in a note, “testifies to the solid link between the Blue Army, the city of Bari and its patron saint”. The in-flight exhibition will begin at 4 pm and will be opened by the overflight of the training aircraft supplied by the Aero Club of Bari. A rescue demonstration at sea will be held by a HH-139 helicopter from the 84th Center. Sar (Search and Rescue) of Gioia del Colle (Bari), dependent on the 15th Wing of Cervia, in collaboration with the aircraft and naval units of the Harbor-Coast Guard. The demonstration will continue with a simulation of an operation to counter illicit trafficking put in place by the naval operations department of the Financial Police of Bari. Following the flyovers of the means of the training line of the Air Force flight schools. From 7 to 8 May, an exhibition area with a flight simulator of the Frecce Tricolori will also be set up on the square in front of the Command of the Air Force Schools – third Air Region of Bari. The rehearsals of the Air Show in Bari will be held on Thursday 5 May at 4 pm (ANSA).
