Ukraine: new Sardinian mission to transfer 2 disabled girls

(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, 04 MAY – Oxana and the disabled child, who escaped the bombs in Nova Kakhovka, 50 kilometers south of Cherson, in the territory occupied by the Russian military will finally arrive in Italy. With the little girl, suffering from a rare syndrome, that of Pallister-Killian (Pks), Oxana was stuck on the ninth floor of a building without a lift but she managed to escape thanks to a mission coordinated by the Anas Rescue Sardinia Network at the request of the association. Now they are on the Romanian border waiting to be picked up.

With them also another little girl suffering from Pks, accompanied by her mother and other women of the family: they will reach Bologna together where the referring doctors of the association, who work inside the Sant’Orsola Malpighi hospital, will take care of them for their pathology.

The Sardinian mission left Olbia yesterday with an ambulance and a van that landed today in Livorno: on board four volunteers from the I sardi Soccorso Odv association. They should reach the border between Romania and Ukraine around 11pm. (ANSA).
