From 2019 to date they would have unduly received about 150 thousand euros of citizenship income. 23 people residing in the municipalities of Taurianova, Polistena, Cittanova and Giffone, were reported by the carabinieri of the Gioia Tauro Group and the Labor Inspectorate Unit of Reggio Calabria.
The military, in the course of investigations aimed at verifying the possession by the applicants of the requisites provided for by the current legislation, examined the documentary data acquired and found that the 23 subjects, all aged between 20 and 60 years, had made false statements or voluntarily failed to communicate information that prevented the granting of the benefit. In particular, false attestations have emerged from most of the managers regarding residence, and specifically in declaring that they have been resident in Italy for at least 10 years, the last 2 of which continuously. Others, on the other hand, failed to communicate that they were subjected to precautionary measures or that they were sentenced to the ancillary penalty of perpetual ban from public offices, receiving the subsidy fraudulently over time.
The results of theinvestigative activity they were reported to the Public Prosecutor of Palmi and INPS for the purpose of interrupting the disbursement of the subsidy to the interested parties and for the recovery of sums unduly received.
