(ANSA) – ANCONA, 06 MAY – The deadlines will be extended for the earthquake victims in Central Italy who benefit from the Contribution for autonomous accommodation (Cas) or a Sae ‘small house’ (Emergency housing solutions). This is what was decided by the meeting between the extraordinary commissioner for the 2016 earthquake reconstruction, Giovanni Legnini, and the Head of the Civil Protection Department, Fabrizio Curcio.
From the meeting, considering that the agreement of the Regions has only recently been acquired, and taking into account the limited time available to citizens, the need emerged to establish new terms for the next obligations of residents in the territory hit by the earthquake. The deadline of May 31 for the declaration of confirmation of the requirements for the enjoyment of the benefits will be postponed, and consequently, the opportunity to postpone the deadline of June 30 for the submission of applications and reconstruction projects by the beneficiary residents of Cas and Sae who have no objective impediments.
In the coming days, Commissioner Legnini will convene a coordination booth, with the presidents of the regions and the representatives of the mayors, in which the Head of the Civil Protection Department will also participate, to take the necessary decisions. As for the procedures for submitting the declaration confirming the requirements for assistance, the protocol between the commissioner and the Department signed in January 2022 with the agreement of the Regions, provides that a telematic platform made available to the Department by the commissioner structure, and that this is accessible with different digital identity systems, from the SPID to the electronic identity card, to the national service card, and other forms of access being implemented.
