Razumkov proposes to resolve the issue of the law on oligarchs – two options

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov proposed two options for how to correct the situation with a controversial point regarding amendments to the bill on oligarchs, which may lead to the need to re-vote the law.

The chairman of the Verkhovna Rada announced these options on the air of the Nash TV channel.

Two ways

“It does not need to be re-voted. Since there is a procedure, however, it works if the law was voted according to the regulations in accordance with the Constitution. As the chairman of the parliament, I believe that there was a violation of the rules. Therefore, launching 131 articles (of the BP regulations – Auth.), Re-voting some edits – it would be wrong“, – said Dmitry Razumkov.

“This can be corrected as follows – or it can be a veto of the president, the law was returned to the Verkhovna Rada with proposals, especially since the president is the author of this bill. Or a law can be signed, and then amend this law“, – continued the speaker of BP.

Controversial issue

Earlier in Telegram, the chairman of the Golos faction, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, said that the Verkhovna Rada would have to re-vote bill No. 5599 on oligarchs, which was adopted in the second reading. This must be done because unnecessary amendments were adopted – now there are different editions in the law on recognizing a person as an oligarch.

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov said earlier that the procedure used in parliament when voting for this bill cannot be called a normal approach. Nevertheless, the decision of the Verkhovna Rada has been adopted, and the norm of the law is already coming into effect, which stipulates that the NAPK should deal with this.
