Covid: in Fvg 731 new infections and 6 deaths

(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 07 MAY – Today in Fvg, out of 3,427 molecular swabs, 210 new infections have been detected (6.13%); 3,571 rapid antigenic tests were also carried out, from which 521 cases (14.59%) were detected. The number of people hospitalized in intensive care is down to 3, while the patients hospitalized in other departments remain 160. This was announced by the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for Health Riccardo Riccardi. The most affected group is 40-49 years (17.10%); today there are 6 deaths, people aged between 74 and 93 years.

The total number of people who have died since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 5,038, with the following territorial subdivision: 1,257 in Trieste, 2,372 in Udine, 953 in Pordenone and 456 in Gorizia.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Fvg, a total of 368,485 people have been positive, of which: 79,984 in Trieste, 153,764 in Udine, 87,890 in Pordenone, 41,228 in Gorizia and 5,619 from outside the Region. It should be noted that the total of positive cases was reduced by 6 units following the revision of the same number of tests.

As far as the regional health system is concerned, the following positives were found: in the Giuliano Isontina university health authority of 2 nurses and 3 social health workers; in the Friuli Centrale university healthcare company of an administrative, an auxiliary, 7 nurses, a doctor, 2 social health workers, a midwife, a psychologist and a therapist; in the Western Friuli health authority of 2 doctors and a social health worker.

Finally, with regard to residences for the elderly in Friuli Venezia Giulia, the infection of 14 guests and 8 operators was recorded. (HANDLE).
