Day of defenders and defenders of Ukraine: history and meaning of the holiday
Initially, in independent Ukraine, the Day of the Defender of Ukraine was established on October 14 by the decree of the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, in 2014. The decision was made to respect a long tradition honoring the Ukrainian army
