(ANSA) – PADUA, MAY 11 – A 52-year-old woman was stabbed in her house in Padua by the ex-partner who, after hitting her in the back, left her on the ground, seriously injured, fleeing. The man, who had never accepted the end of the relationship and harbored a form of hatred towards her, was then stopped by the Carabinieri, and in the evening he was still under interrogation, as the main suspect in the attempted murder.
The incident took place in an apartment in the Arcella district, where it seems that the two had lived together for a few months. Taken to the hospital and subjected to an emergency operation, the 52-year-old was declared out of danger.
According to initial information, in the past of the aggressor, a 50-year-old from Verona, there would already be a conviction for murder, in 1999, that of another woman with whom he had previously lived together, and one for stalking against a third woman, who tormented, also in this case not accepting the end of their relationship.
