The head of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Razumkov, said that the decision to initiate his resignation was not taken by the entire faction, and noted that he had no conflict with the Servant of the People.

He said this at a briefing.

According to him, the deputies will be able to receive subscription lists today. At the same time, he stated that he had no ideological contradictions with the party and was ready to defend his position in the faction.

“I really do not have a conflict. If they want to create it, this is another question. I would like to understand all the subjects of this conflict, because I did not have conflict situations with the faction. I think there was a task and David Georgievich completed it. I do not know from whom ( smiles. – Ed.) “, – said Razumkov.

When asked why the faction is gathering in Truskavets, he answered: “Because it will be convenient to collect signatures there.”

“There was a conversation with Arakhamia, but I did not hear any complaints. Let them sort it out among themselves: a letter (of resignation) came from the faction and was signed by the head of the faction. They know this. Many people’s deputies called me and said that they did not vote for such a decision and did not make a decision to authorize the head of the faction to apply for subscription lists, “the head of the Verkhovna Rada explained.

Razumkov also clarified that there are deputies who will support his resignation, and who are against it.

He confirmed that he was not really invited to Truskavets and promised not to go there without an invitation.

Razumkov’s conflict with the “Servant of the people”

  • It all started after Dmitry Razumkov sent a bill on oligarchs to the Venice Commission. He agreed to do this at the request of the Ombudsman and all opposition factions, but refused a request not to do this to his native Servant of the People party.
  • The first to “rebel” was the head of the “SN” faction, David Arakhamia, who first, in a commentary to journalists, ran into Razumkov, promising that he would have a conversation with the head of parliament. Then Arahamia continued to harshly criticize him on the air of the “Freedom of Speech Savik Shuster” program.
  • Then, on the same program, the first vice-speaker of the Rada Stefanchuk got down to business, who right there filed a complaint with Razumkov: they say that the speaker recently refused his request to submit a bill on local referenda to the Venice Commission, and after some time sent an anti-oligarchic law there.
  • Now it got to the point that Razumkov was not invited to the congress in Truskavets. The deputies are expected to discuss the possible dismissal of the speaker there.

As we already wrote, the President’s Office delivered an ultimatum to Razumkov so that he could decide whether he was the speaker with his party or with the oligarchs.
